First NBC Bank claims Billes Partners owes more than $275,000

NEW ORLEANS – A bank seeks payment for an unpaid promissory note.

First NBC Bank filed a lawsuit against Billes Partners LLC, Gerald W. Billes, Richard S. Kravet and Lisa J. Herron in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging sums due.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff issued a promissory note to the defendants for the balance of $200,000. The suit states that the defendants have failed to pay off the note and still owes $274,404.16 after the note's amount was increased, plus interest.

The defendants are accused of failing to fulfill duties and pay off a promissory note.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Barry H. Grodsky of Taggart Morton LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney H. Cates IV.
