Nicholls State University claims student owes over $1,100

GRETNA – A university is seeking damages for an open account.

University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through Nicholls State University filed a suit April 20 against Tyler N. Davis of Jefferson Parish in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging open account.

According to the claim, the plaintiff issued goods and/or services to the defendant for the amount of $1,141.80, and the defendant has failed to pay the plaintiff back for attendance in the fall 2013 and spring 2014 semesters.

The defendant is accused of having an open account.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Scott L. Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge E. Adrian Adams.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 771203.
