First NBC Bank claims Jefferson Parish resident owes over $17,000

GRETNA – A bank is seeking payment of a promissory note.

First NBC Bank filed a suit April 25 against Gerald J. Burton Jr. of Jefferson Parish in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging sums due.

According to the claim, the plaintiff issued a promissory note to the defendant for the balance of $15,000. The defendant as required to pay off the balance of the note in a timely manner but has failed to do so. The defendant's balance is $17,257.77, which includes interest and late fees, according to the complaint.

The defendant is accused of sums due.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Barry H. Grodsky of Taggart Morton LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry G. Sullivan Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 771406.
