Whitney Bank claims Orleans Parish resident defaulted on agreement

NEW ORLEANS – A bank is seeking damages for sums due.

Whitney Bank filed a lawsuit May 8 against Murray P. Nelson of Orleans Parish in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging sums due. 

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking payment of an unpaid balance. In addition to the sums due, the plaintiff is also seeking payment of interest, for a total of $4,715.90.

The defendant is accused of sums due

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney John Dale Powers of Powers, Sellers & Chapoton LLP in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Cherrell S. Taplin.
