NEW ORLEANS – An AIS Inc. employee alleges he was injured while working aboard a vessel.

Richard Dubuisson filed a complaint on May 11 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Industrial Economics Inc. and Ryan Tolbert alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 23, 2015, he sustained serious injuries to his lower back while performing work aboard the vessel owned by Tolbert and procured for the work by Industrial Economics. The plaintiff alleges he suffered physical and mental pain, lost wages and fringe benefits and medical expenses. The plaintiff holds Industrial Economics Inc. and Tolbert responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide minimum safety requirements, adequate equipment and personnel for the job.

The plaintiff seeks all damages to which he is entitled with legal interest, all costs and expert fees and all other general and equitable relief. He is represented by Tomthy J. Young, Tammy D. Harris and Megan C. Misko of The Young Firm in New Orleans.
