Man files suit against ENI US Operating after suffering stroke while working

Oilrig 03

NEW ORLEANS – A man alleges he suffered a stroke while on the job and that he is now disabled because of damages that would have been avoidable with proper treatment.

Gregory Woodfork filed a complaint on May 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against ENI US Operating Co. Inc. citing the Outer Continental Land Shelf Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in Jan. 16, he was employed by defendant working aboard Devils Tower when he suffered a stroke. The plaintiff holds ENI US Operating Co. Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide immediate and proper medical treatment and failed to evacuate the plaintiff in the timeliest manner possible.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory and special damages with legal interest, costs and expert fees and all other general and equitable relief. He is represented by Timothy J. Young, Tammy D. Harris and Megan C. Misko of The Young Law Firm in New Orleans.
