Whitney Bank seeking damages from Orleans Parish woman for unpaid promissory note

NEW ORLEANS – A bank is seeking damages for an unpaid balance.

Whitney Bank filed a lawsuit May 23 against Estelle Webb of Orleans Parish in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging unpaid sums on a promissory note. 

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking payment of a promissory note for the balance of $40,325, of which the defendant has failed to pay off the remaining balance of $19,402.20.

The defendant is accused of failure to pay the whole balance owed.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Clay J. Legros of Newman, Mathis, Brady & Spedale in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper D. Griffin.
