Woman claims she was attacked while staying at Sheraton New Orleans Hotel

NEW ORLEANS – An Iberia Parish woman claims that she was attacked while at a hotel.

Clarissa Dawn Bodin filed a lawsuit May 18 against Tremeka R. Flemmings; Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide LLC, doing business as Sheraton New Orleans Hotel; Marriott Services Inc.; and Sodexo Inc., doing business as Sheraton New Orleans Hotel and ABC Insurance Company in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was a guest at the defendant's hotel in New Orleans. The suit states that the plaintiff was injured when she was walking to her room when Flemmings attacked her without provocation.

The defendant is accused of negligence by failing to ensure that the plaintiff was safe, failing to take necessary precautions and overall negligence.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by Kay Karre Gautreaux of The Law Office of Kay Karre Gaurtreaux in Lafayette.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Christopher J. Bruno.
