Elkland claims Jefferson Parish man failed to pay promissory note

GRETNA – A company claims it was never paid for a promissory note.

Elkland Inc. filed a suit June 1 against Alvin Joseph Breaux Jr. of Jefferson Parish in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging sums due on a promissory note.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking payment of a promissory note in the amount of $40,000. The suit states that the defendant has failed to pay the plaintiff.

The defendant is accused of sums due on a promissory note.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by George Pivach II and John E. Pivach of Pivach, Pivach, Hufft, Thriffiley & Dunbar LLC in Belle Chasse.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge E. Adrian Adams.
