St. Tammany Parish woman claims she was injured when she fell on an uneven ramp

GRETNA – A St. Tammany Parish woman was allegedly injured when she fell on uneven concrete.

Martha Elizabeth Bonner and Mark Bonner filed a suit June 5 against Sunshine Plaza Inc. in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, Martha Bonner was at the defendant's property at 2981 Highway 190 in St. Tammany Parish on April 4 when the incident took place. The suit states that she tripped and fell on a newly constructed ramp that had been poured improperly, causing her to be injured.

The defendant is accused of negligence by failing to ensure that the cement was poured properly, failing to warn the plaintiff and overall negligence in management.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Albert J. Nicaud and Jeffrey M. Siemssen of Nicaud & Sunseri Law Firm LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry G. Sullivan Jr.
