Woman claims she was injured when Ramelli employee knocked her over

NEW ORLEANS – A woman claims that she was knocked over by a negligent employee of a New Orleans business.

Janet Kirton filed a lawsuit June 2 against Ramelli Janitorial Service Payroll LLC, Ramelli Waste LLC, Ramelli Holdings LLC, Ramelli Group LLC, Hilton Riverside LLC and Hilton Worldwide Inc. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was at the Hilton July 1, 2016, when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was knocked down by an unnamed Remelli employee, who was pushing a tilt truck or trash can with wheels. The plaintiff claims the defendant was negligent by employing an individual such as this.

The defendant is accused of negligence by failing to keep a lookout, failing to warn the plaintiff of the potential for danger and overall negligence.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. She is represented by attorney Sam Furman of Morris Bart LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette Irons.
