Orleans Parish man allegedly never paid off a promissory note

GRETNA – An Orleans Parish man is being sued for failing to pay off a promissory note.

Bronwyn Roberts Picolo Callahan of Pinellas County, Florida, filed a suit June 8 against John Picolo Jr. in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging sums due on a promissory note.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for the total of $77,328.23. The suit states that the defendant was issued a promissory note by the plaintiff for the total balance of $99,384.31 in 2003 and that the defendant was required to pay regular installments on the note. In 2008, the defendant allegedly stopped making payments.

The defendant is accused of sums due on a promissory note.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Lauren Marquette in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Scott Schlegel.
