Investar Bank claims Jefferson Parish residents failed to pay off promissory note

GRETNA – A bank is seeking over $1,000 from Jefferson Parish residents.

Investar Bank filed a suit June 22 against Louis Holmes and Lamont Belle in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging sums due.

According to the claim, the plaintiff issued a promissory note to the defendant for the total of $13,902.75. The suit states that the defendants failed to pay off of the note and they still owe the plaintiff $934.72 plus interest.

The defendant is accused of sums due on a note.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Stacy G. Butler of Kizer, Hood & Morgan LLP in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge John J. Molaison Jr.
