Board of Ethics seeks nearly $2,500

NEW ORLEANS –  The state of Louisiana is seeking damages for sums due.

The state of Louisiana through the Louisiana Board of Ethics filed a lawsuit June 21 against Derek Nelson Rabb and Entergy Services Inc., as garnishee, in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging sums due.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking payment for the balance of $1,500 from the defendant. The suit states that the plaintiff has reason to believe that the garnishee is indebted to the defendant and therefore seeks that the garnishee presents the necessary funds. With interest and court costs, the defendant is indebted for the balance of $2,479.93.

The defendant is accused of sums due.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by Meghan N. Beal of Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Kern A. Reese.
