Orleans Parish resident allegedly failed to repay Whitney Bank promissory note

NEW ORLEANS – Whitney Bank is seeking over $19,000 from an Orleans Parish customer.

Whitney Bank filed a lawsuit June 23 against Hadi Kassim in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging sums due.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff issued a promissory note of the balance of $8,776.93 to the defendant. The defendant agreed to make regular payments on the balance but failed to do so, the complaint states. The suit states that the defendant is indebted to the plaintiff for more than $19,042.59 plus interest.

The defendant is accused of sums due.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Clay J. Legros of Newman, Mathis, Brady & Spedale in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge Clare Jupiter.
