American Express seeks over $23,000 from Jefferson Parish man

GRETNA – American Express is seeking damages for an open account.

American Express Bank filed a suit June 22 against David L. Copeland of Jefferson Parish in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging sums due.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on an open account for the balance of $23,361.96.

The defendant is accused of having an open account.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Blake J. Guidry of Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge E. Adrian Adams.
