Northwestern State University seeks thousands from man

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking more than $7,000 in sums due.

University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through Northwestern State University filed a lawsuit July 10 against Everett Youngblood and Paramount Co. 2 LLC, as garnishee, in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging sums due.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking payment for a sum of $5,119.15 plus interest and has reason to believe that the garnishee is currently indebted to the defendant. The interest on the fees and court costs bring the total to $7,913.63 as of July 5.

The defendant is accused of sums due.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Anthony D. Winters of Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Cherrell S. Taplin.
