Orleans Parish woman claims she was injured when server's tray hit her in the back

GRETNA – An Orleans Parish woman claims that a waiter knocked a tray into her back at a restaurant.

Jenna Guidry filed a suit against Bravo Brio Restaurant Group Inc., ABC Insurance Co. and John Doe in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was at Bravo Brio Restaurant at 3413 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie on July 16, 2016, when the incident occurred. The suit states that a waiter ran into a ledge near where the plaintiff was sitting and slammed a serving tray into her back, causing injuries.

The defendant is accused of negligence and carelessness in the training of employees, failing to look out for customers, failing to take the necessary precautions and overall negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by J. Bart Kelly III of Alvendia, Kelly & Demarest in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond S. Steib Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court case number 773949.
