Man claims he was attacked without cause while at The Pour House Saloon

GRETNA – A Chicago man claims that he was attacked without reason.

Dale Gordon McComb filed a suit against Drew Davis; Avery John Corp., doing business as The Pour House Saloon; Joseph Scott Blanchard; and ABC Insurance Co. in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging battery and assault.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was at the defendant's property at 3501 Jefferson Highway, Jefferson Parish on Nov. 6 when the incident occurred. The suit states that Davis, without cause, approached the plaintiff, insulted him and punched him at least 15 times. When the plaintiff warned that he would call the police, the defendant allegedly seized the plaintiff's phone and slammed it into the ground. The plaintiff claims he suffered painful lacerations as a result of Davis's attack, in addition to his cellphone being broken.

The defendants are accused of failing to provide a safe premises.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Scott Richards Samuel of Samuel and Coleman LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry G. Sullivan Jr.
