Jefferson Parish couple claims Walmart failed to clean up water, resulting in husband's fall

GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish couple claims Walmart was responsible for the husband's fall.

Bobby Kimbrough and Cynthia Kimbrough filed a suit against Walmart Louisiana LLC and Walmart Stores Inc. in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place July 30, 2016, at the Walmart on Manhattan Boulevard in Harvey. The suit states that Bobby Kimbrough slipped and fell on water that had puddled on an aisle. He alleges the fall resulted in physical injuries.

The defendant is accused of negligence by failing to clean up the mess and failing to warn of the danger.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Dwayne Burrell in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Donald A. Rowan Jr.
