Jefferson Parish man claims he fell due to slippery substance left on pavement

NEW ORLEANS – A Jefferson Parish man claims he was caused to fall on slippery pavement.

Norman Rush filed a lawsuit against Gootee Construction Inc., Travelers Casualty Co., Bullseye Masonry LLC and Nationwide General Insurance Co. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place April 29. The suit states that the plaintiff fell due to a slippery substance left on the pavement from construction projects near Jesuit High School.

The defendant is accused of negligence by failing to properly clean up the premises, failing to warn of the danger and overall negligence in management.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Jim S. Hall of Jim S. Hall & Associates LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Nakisha, Ervin-Knott.
