Crescent City Marine seeks over $24,000 for work completed

NEW ORLEANS – A marine vessel company claims a customer owes nearly $25,000.

Crescent City Marine Group, doing business as Schubert's Marine Inc., filed a lawsuit against Joe Monsour in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging sums due and breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the defendant delivered a 31-foot Chaparral 310 to the plaintiff for repairs in May 2016. The suit states that the defendant continued to request services and repairs on the vessel, which the plaintiff did, however, the defendant has failed to pay the plaintiff for the services issued and is currently indebted for the balance of $24,872.31 plus interest.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract through failing to keep up with payments.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Matthew S. Lejeune of Jones Walker LLP in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Nakisha Ervin-Knott.
