Nicholls State seeks damages for sums due on promissory note

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking over $5,000 from an Orleans Parish resident.

University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through Nicholls State University filed a lawsuit against Narviero M. Rouser in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging sums due on a note.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due in the amount of $5,521.88 plus interest. The suit states that the defendant has failed to pay the plaintiff for goods and services received.

The defendant is accused of owing sums due.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Meghan N. Beal of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Christopher J. Bruno.
