Man claims Orleans Parish lawyer deposited check without endorsement

NEW ORLEANS – A man claims that an Orleans Parish-based lawyer deposited a check without his endorsement.

Brian Myles filed a lawsuit against Robert A. Lenter and Robert A. Lenter, Attorneys at Law LLC in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging sums due and fraud.

According to the complaint, the defendant was representing the plaintiff in a workers' compensation matter. The suit states that the defendants deposited a check without the plaintiff's endorsement and failed to give the plaintiff the proceeds from the case.

The defendant is accused of sums due.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by Justin M. Chopin of The Chopin Law Firm LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Christopher J. Bruno.
