Federal National Mortgage Association claims women failed to maintain payments

NEW ORLEANS – A mortgage company is seeking damages for sums due.

Federal National Mortgage Association filed a lawsuit against Karen G. Misbach and Kathryn M. Jaques, also known as Kathryn Misbach Jaques, in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging sums due on a promissory note.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking $181,243.14 plus interest, claiming that the defendants have failed to keep up with regular payments on a mortgage for a New Orleans property. 

The defendant is accused of failing to pay sums due.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Lindsey G. Faulkner of Shapiro & Daigrepont LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Tiffany G. Chase.
