Federal National Mortgage Association seeks over $130,000 due on a mortgage

NEW ORLEANS – A mortgage lender is seeking more than $130,000 on a reverse mortgage.

Federal National Mortgage Association filed a lawsuit against the estate of Carvin Turner in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging sums due.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking  $132,770.59 plus interest for the defendant's alleged failure to keep up with mortgage payments.

The defendant is accused of failing to pay sums due.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by Rader Jackson of Jackson & McPherson LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel S. Julien.
