Woman claims Walmart failed to clean cooking oil spill that resulted in fall

GRETNA – A woman claims that she was caused to slip and fall in oil at Walmart.

Annie Soler filed a suit against Walmart Louisiana LLC and Walmart Stores Inc. in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging negligence.

According to the claim, on Nov. 15, 2016, the plaintiff was at the Walmart on Jefferson Highway in Harahan. The suit states that the defendant had failed to clean up a cooking oil spill on an aisle, in which the plaintiff slipped and fell, sustaining injuries.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Sean M. Regan of The King Firm LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius E. Regan.
