University of New Orleans claims student didn't pay for spring 2014 semester

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking more than $1,700 from an Orleans Parish student.

University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through the University of New Orleans filed a lawsuit against Adreanna Louise Gurtner in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging an open account.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking payment in the balance of $1,718 for the spring 2014 semester. The suit states that the defendant has failed to pay for classes.

The defendant is accused of having an open account.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Amy D. Richard of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel S. Julien.
