NEW ORLEANS — A man claims that a ceiling fell on him and injured him.
Derrick Richard filed a lawsuit on Oct. 12 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Kristopher J. Bailey and underwriters at Lloyd's London, alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place on Nov. 8, 2016. The suit states that he was injured when the ceiling at 3224 Pauger St. in New Orleans allegedly collapsed on him and caused him to sustain injuries.
The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney William E. Mura Jr. in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
