NEW ORLEANS — Northwestern State University is seeking more than $1,600 in past due tuition from a former student.
The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through Northwestern State University filed a lawsuit on Oct. 12 against Stephaine Yvette Hayes, also known as Stephanie Yvette Hayes, in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging she owes the balance of $1,609 plus interest.
The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Amy D. Richard of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Kern A. Reese.
