OneMain Financial seeking unpaid debt

NEW ORLEANS – A financial institution claims that it is owed more than $2,700 by an Orleans Parish woman.

OneMain Financial of Louisiana Inc., formerly known as SpringLeaf Financial Services of Louisiana Inc., filed a lawsuit on Oct. 30 against Marie H. Rivers in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging sums due.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an unpaid account in the balance of $2,756.13 plus interest, claiming that the defendant breached an agreement to pay back the balance owed.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Naomi A. Cohen Ivker of Zarzaur and Scwartz PC in Birmingham, Alabama.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Cherrell S. Taplin.
