Papa John's franchisee allegedly owes $30,000 for phone calls

NEW ORLEANS – A marketing company claims it is owed more than $30,000 by the owner of a local pizza franchise. 

Convention Keycards LLC, doing business as Key Marketing, filed a lawsuit on Oct. 30 against LMT Services LLC, doing business as Papa John's Pizza, in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging an open account and breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for the balance of $30,439.67 plus interest, claiming that the defendant failed to keep up an agreement involving a set fee per telephone call.

The defendant is accused of sums due.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Michael B. Alker of Sutton, Alker & Rather LLC in Mandeville.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
