Southeastern Louisiana University suing over unpaid tuition

NEW ORLEANS – A university claims that it is owed more than $4,800 in unpaid tuition. 

The University of Louisiana System board of supervisors through Southeastern Louisiana University filed a lawsuit on Oct. 30 against Taylor Jennings Bryan in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging the defendant failed to pay off the sums due for the balance of $4,837.95 plus interest.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Scott L. Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Tiffany G. Chase.
