Jimmy Duckworth Tires allegedly negligent in crash

GRETNA — A Gretna woman is holding Jimmy Duckworth Tires responsible after one of its employees allegedly ran into her car. 

Deanna Munoz filed a suit on Oct. 24 against Darnell Robert, Jimmy Duckworth Tires Inc., and State Farm Fire and Casualty Company in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Aug. 1. The suit states Robert was pulling out of the store's driveway on 21st Street in Jefferson Parish when he allegedly hit the plaintiff's car, leaving her injured.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Vincent P. Scallan in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen C. Grefer.
