Tumble at Hampton Inn leads to lawsuit

NEW ORLEANS – A woman is seeking damages after she allegedly tripped and fell at a local Hampton Inn. 

Sarala M. Dee filed a lawsuit on Nov. 21 against Hilton Hotels Partners LLC, doing business as Hampton Inn New Orleans, St. Charles Avenue, Garden District, Hotel St. Charles Avenue LLC, Bre Nola Property Owner LLC and Rory Higgin in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident she claims took place at the Hampton Inn at 3626 St. Charles Ave. in New Orleans. The plaintiff allegedly was caused to trip and fall on the rolled up edge of a large rug in the hotel's lobby area.

The defendant is accused of negligence through failing to provide a safe location and failing to warn of said danger.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Lloyd N. Frischhertz of Frischhertz, Poulliard, Frischhertz & Impastato LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette R. Irons.
