Orleans Shell station accused of negligence

NEW ORLEANS – An Orleans Parish woman allegedly slipped and fell at a local Shell gas station.

Darleen Curington filed a lawsuit on Nov. 28  against 1667 Tchoupitoulas LLC, d/b/a Shell Tchoupitoulas Infinity Fuels LLC; and XYZ Insurance Company in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Jan. 1. The plaintiff was at the defendant's property when she allegedly slipped and fell on a substance that had been left on the ground.

The defendant is accused of negligence. 

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney John D. Sileo in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Kern A. Reese.
