New Orleans Walmart accused of negligence in slip and fall case

NEW ORLEANS – A woman claims that she slipped and fell in a Walmart.

Dawn A. Brown filed a lawsuit August 22 against Walmart Stores Inc. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on June 1 when she allegedly slipped and fell in a New Orleans Walmart. The plaintiff's fall allegedly was caused by water that had been left on the ground.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Julie-Ann A Duhe'Keating of The Keating Law Firm LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette R. Irons.
