Woman claims her child was injured in Metairie bus crash

GRETNA – A woman claims her child was injured in a bus crash in Metairie.

Michelle Detiellieu Seruntine, as administrator of her minor child, filed a suit Sept. 7 against Samantha Massey, Jefferson Parish School Board and Ace American Insurance Co. in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

The plaintiff claims her child on Sept. 6, 2016, was riding in a school bus owned and operated by Massey. Massey lost control of the bus and it drove into the canal, injuring the plaintiff's child, according to the claim.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Pierre F. Gaudin Sr. of Gretna.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge John J. Molaison Jr.
