John Jay Beauty College sues former student

GRETNA –A beauty school claims that it is owed more than $3,000.

John Jay Beauty College Inc. filed a suit on Sept. 20 against Aridesha Williams in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging breach of contract.

According to the claim, the plaintiff allowed the defendant to enroll in the school on Jan. 10, 2017 for a program length of 750 hours. The defendant terminated the enrollment before the end of the program. The defendant, however, failed to pay the plaintiff the sum of $3,164 as had already been agreed upon in the case of early termination.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by James C. Cronvich of Favret, Carriere, Cronvich in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Donald A. Rowan Jr.
