Individual claims she was victim of company's fraud

GRETNA – An individual is seeking damages claiming a company committed fraud.

Rodney Mabile filed a suit Jan. 19 against Debra Ipock, individually and on behalf of Tommy R. Ipock and/or the estate of Tommy R. Ipock, Dependable Source Corp. and Innovative Personnel Services in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging fraud.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was a minority shareholder for the defendant's company. When the defendant, Tommy Ipock died, the defendant, Debra Ipock assured the plaintiff she would still benefit from the company. However, plaintiff claims the defendant has failed to deliver the payments to the plaintiff and has instead diverted them, thus committing fraud.

The defendant is accused of fraud and breach of contract.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Pamela J. Lormand of Brewer & Lormand PLLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division K Judge Ellen Shirer Kovach.
