LLC claims architectural firm submitted flawed plans

NEW ORLEANS – An LLC is seeking damages after an architectural firm allegedly breached a contract.

AMG Northpark LLC filed a lawsuit Dec. 28 against Humphreys & Partners Architects LLC in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place beginning on Sept. 30, 2015, when the plaintiff entered into an agreement with the defendant. The defendant was obligated to prepare sketches and specifications for a project, but the defendant breached agreement through failing to complete the drawings professionally, leaving errors in the designs and failing to remedy them.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Michael R. C. Riess of Kingsmill Riess LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel Julien.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 17-12441.
