Woman claims she was injured at East Jefferson High School

GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages after she allegedly was injured at a local high school.

Sue Ellen Thompson filed a suit on Jan. 31 against Jefferson Parish School Board in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on March 7, 2017 when she was at East Jefferson High School. The plaintiff claims she was struck in the head by a metal strip that closes the gap between the edges of two doors in the school.

The defendant is accused of negligence

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Vincent P. Scallan of Cossé Law Firm.

The case has been assigned to Division H Judge Glenn B. Ansardi.
