Woman claims she tripped and fell in Metairie Rite Aid

GRETNA — A woman claims that she tripped and fell in a Metairie Rite Aid.

Crystal A. Morvant filed a suit on Feb. 16 against Rite Aid Headquarters Corporation and ABC Insurance Company in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on April 28, 2017 when the plaintiff was in the defendant's store in Metairie. The plaintiff allegedly was caused to trip and fall on an object that had been left on the ground in a dangerous way. The plaintiff allegedly was injured in the fall.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Jason M. Baer of Pandit Law Firm LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division H Judge Glenn B. Ansardi.
