Woman claims she fell while boarding American Airlines flight

NEW ORLEANS – A woman is seeking damages, claiming that she slipped and fell while boarding an American Airlines flight.

Concha Giammettei De Prado filed a lawsuit on Feb. 7 against The City of New Orleans, The New Orleans Aviation Board, American Airlines Inc., Metro Service Group Inc, ACE Property and Casualty Insurance Company, and Chubb European Group Limited in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages claiming that she was caused to slip and fall on a wet rubber mat when she was boarding an American Airlines flight on March 31, 2017.

The defendants are accused of negligence.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Robert T. Myers of Young, Richaud & Myers LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge Clare Jupiter.
