A woman claims that her skin was burnt by a facial treatment

GRETNA — A woman is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place at a spa.

Claudia Schmitt filed a suit on Feb. 22 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Saintly Skin LLC and Megan Naccari, alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place on Oct. 5 when she was allegedly getting a facial treatment. The suit claims that the plaintiff began to experience pain because of the treatment and was told to use certain creams to address the pain. The plaintiff allegedly found burnt areas on her face the day after the treatment.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by George B. Recile of Chehardy, Sherman, Williams, Murray, Recile, Stakelum & Hayes LLP in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry G. Sullivan Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court case number 780850.
