LSU claims student owes more than $1,000 on tuition bill

NEW ORLEANS – Louisiana State University is seeking over $1,000 in past-due tuition. 

Louisiana State University Board of Supervisors through Louisiana State University filed a lawsuit February 22 against Rita M. Harris in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging an open account.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an open account in the balance of $1,017.70 claiming that the defendant failed to pay what she owed.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Amy D. Richard of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division N  Judge Ethel Julien.
