Woman seeks damages after falling in a Sears store

GRETNA – A woman claims that she tripped and fell in a Sears.

Molly Bibb filed a suit March 13 against Sears Roebuck and Co. and ABC Insurance Co. in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was at the Sears on Veterans Memorial Boulevard on April 12, 2017 when she slipped and fell at an opening in the bathroom. The defendants were negligent in the maintenance and warning of dangers.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by J. Michael Daly Jr. in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Stephen Enright Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 781543.
