A law firm is seeking damages that were allegedly caused by a flood

GRETNA — A law firm claims that its clients' home was damaged in a flood.

Lane Roberts, Leslie Roberts and Sunseri Law Firm LLC filed a suit on March 5 in the 24th Judicial District Court against Nationstart Mortgage LLC d/b/a Mr. Cooper, alleging breach of contract.

According to the claim, the plaintiffs are seeking damages for an incident that allegedly took place in August 2016 when a flood allegedly damaged Lane and Leslie Roberts' home in Denham springs, La. The plaintiffs claim that they are owed $20,181.97 for damages caused by the flood.

The plaintiffs are seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiffs are represented by J. Douglas Sunseri of Nicaud & Sunseri Law Firm LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen C. Grefer.

The 24th Judicial District Court case number 781269.
