Couple claims home was damaged by water from neighbor's property

GRETNA – An insurance company is seeking damages for water damages in the clients' home.

Great Northern Insurance Co. as subrogee of Paul J. Hoolahan and Katherine L. Waters filed a suit March 28 against Bradford White Corp. in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that  took place at 331 Dorrington Blvd. in Metairie. The plaintiffs' home sustained water damages and the leak was found to be originating from the defendant's property. The plaintiffs are seeking damages for the mitigation and repair to their home.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Jake Skaggs of Cozen O'Connor in Houston.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen Grefer.
