Lawsuit claims car accident was the fault of company's driver

GRETNA – A lawsuit claims a car accident was the fault of the driver working for a sporting goods company.

August C. Berry filed a suit March 28 against Kenneth Armstrong, Hibbett Sporting Goods Inc., and Liberty Mutual Fire Insurance Co. in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on April 5, 2017 when the plaintiff was driving on U.S. Highway 90 and the defendant struck the plaintiff's car while driving a car belonging to Hibbett Sporting Goods.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Ron Austin of Ron Austin & Associates LLC in Gretna.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge John Molaison Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case No. is 782164.
